Do Not Be Weary In Doing Good

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” -Galatians 6:9

“Another terrible announcement on the news! I don’t think I can watch anymore of this.” A lot of us have either heard this or have said it ourselves. Sometimes it seems like nothing good is going on in the world! We may find our thoughts having the point of view that the glass is usually three quarters empty. “What could we possibly do that would make anything better?” “Every time I do a good thing, ten other bad things happen soon after!” It can be frustrating and discouraging. But God tells us not to lose hope! Let’s take a look at some verses from Isaiah and Joshua to see what else God says.

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”- Isaiah 41:10

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:9

These excerpts are just two of many encouraging verses found throughout the Bible. We can have hope because God promises to be with us always. We can draw strength from God and His Word. Even when we feel like we are not making a difference and feel frustrated, God is working through us in ways unseen.

In other words, do not lose heart! As it says in Galatians 6: 9, we may not see the harvest we reap with God’s help but He encourages us to keep doing good! Do not give up! We can keep doing good first and foremost with prayer! We can be comforted knowing that God hears us when we pray. He cares for us! This is why we recognize in our nonprofit that prayers from those who support us are a big deal! We need those the most. If you feel like doing good by sending a donation towards our projects of any amount, big or small, we pray that God will use it to His glory! There may be a chance in the future where you feel called to serve and glorify God by joining us on a mission trip by yourself or with your friends. Whatever it may be, we hope you find hope and encouragement in God and His Word.
